Sustainability & Environmental Awareness

As co-owner of the Biolandhaus Arche – Austria’s first hotel to receive the official eco-label – Noe Tessmann is committed not only to language, but also to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

He played a key role in developing the hotel’s environmental concept and has in-depth knowledge in the following areas:

• renovation of historic buildings & upcycling
• sustainable tourism and responsible management
• eco-label criteria and guidelines

This mindset is also reflected in his professional work:
thoughtful, attentive, and guided by a strong sense of ethics.

Education & Professional Background

• Studies in comparative literature, French and philosophy in Vienna (programme not completed)
• Studies at the Sorbonne, Paris
• One year as a French language teacher in Paris
• Subsequently self-employed as a translator, editor and cultural mediator
